An Iliad
Just Closed
Staging An Iliad at California’s First Theatre was both a privilege and a powerful creative challenge—bringing a timeless tale of war, memory, and humanity into a space layered with its own deep history. The intimacy and raw character of the venue demanded a stripped-down, emotionally immediate approach that allowed the language and performance to reverberate through the bones of the building. Directing this piece in such a historic space reminded me that storytelling is, at its core, an act of presence—one that bridges centuries in the flicker of a moment.

Othello - New Canon Theatre Co.
Working as the Intimacy Choreographer for Othello with New Canon Theatre Co. has been a powerful and collaborative process, focused on creating emotionally truthful and physically safe moments of connection, vulnerability, and violence. This production demands a deep sensitivity to the play’s complex intersections of race, gender, and power, and I’ve worked closely with the director and cast to build trust and consent-based choreography that supports both the storytelling and the well-being of the actors. New Canon’s commitment to equity and bold reimaginings of classic texts has made this work especially resonant and meaningful.
